Getting There

Flying to Tahoe
The best airport to use near Tahoe is Reno/Lake Tahoe - airport code RNO.  A number of major airlines serve that airport and usually good airfares can be found.  Ideally you'll want to fly into RNO on Friday September 3 and out of RNO on Monday September 6.  The sites listed below are often good bets for inexpensive flights:

Once you get to Reno, the Tahoe Casino Express (www.tahoecasinoexpress.com) is the best way to get to Tahoe from Reno (1 hour 45 minute drive).  Depending on the number of cars that we'll have in Tahoe, we also potentially will rent a car or two and some folks can drive in it from the airport.

Another potential option is to fly in Sacramento (Airport code SAC).  Sacramento is further away from Tahoe and I don't know of good public transportation from SAC to Tahoe.  One year I flew into Sacramento and rented a car.
