7/20/06 @ 7:30PM vs. OKC Firedawgs
Loss. Hardfought, and close for awhile, but we ran out of gas.
7/27/06 @ 6:30PM vs. ???
Loss. A very fast-paced game. We hit 2s but they hit 3s all night long. 76-106.
8/03/06 @ 6:30PM vs. The Ocho
Win. Our division has a lot of variability in talent.
8/10/06 @ 8:30PM vs. Chain Gang
Loss. Their trap defense broke us. Mik was recuperating in CO.
8/17/06 @ 9:30PM vs. Fearless
Win. It wasn't hard, but they had a few decent guards. A confidence builder.
8/24/06 @ 8:30PM vs. TWB
Win. Excellent game; we finally hit our stride. Solid all-around. A bit of drama, too.
8/31/06 @ 9:30PM vs. Regulators
CANCELLED - apparently the Lighthouse is under (unscheduled?) renovation.
9/07/06 @ 7:30PM vs. Recharged
Win. Easy, and the Moose played down to their competition. But with only five Moose suited up, you can't ask for more.
9/14/06 @ 8:30PM vs. PTPers
Win. Nailbiter, tight down to the end. Overall good team play in a shoot out of game. Pang, Plafker and Parrish Hilton (The Killer P's) provided critical buckets.
9/21/06 @ 9:30PM vs. Regulators (rescheduled from 8/31)
Win. Another tight one, but the Robes fadeaway netted 20 points in the first half alone, and overall staunch defense proved too much.
9/28/06 @ 9:30PM vs. The Moneymakers (Tournament)
Loss. Cinderella is dead, but it was a good run. We held a small lead through most of this game, but we couldn't keep it.
We were tied up 37-37 at the half, and we ended up losing 47-46. Not a high-scoring 2nd half.
MVP to Beau for tremendous rebounding and put-backs in the lane, and reprimand to me (Erik)
for driving the lane (and neither scoring nor drawing a foul) with about a minute left when we were
up by one point. Dumb Erik - I should have stayed in AK or on the injured list. Solid hustle contributions
all around - no one slacked off. Robey even blocked two shots (in a row!) which was a first. :)
Overall we got better throughout this season, especially with respect to working the ball around
and getting better shots. Let's continue that trend next season. A farewell to Matt - who we'll miss.
