MacBeth's Bellmen While Lady MacBeth waited for MacBeth to kill King Duncan, she is started by an owl - Shakespeare's "fatal bellman." In late 1990 a small team of US Public Health Service officers and Marines were sent to identify potential chemical weapons manufacturing facilities northwest of Baghdad. The team would glide across the desert silently, survey potential targets and depart without being seen. They called themselves "MacBeth's Bellmen."
